.:Sonadow:. Roommates Ch1

"We're almost here, Sonic. Are you excited?"
Sonic looked down and sighed. "I don't know mom.....high school went by so fast...and now I'm attending university..."
"I know it's nerve wrecking at first, dear. Trust me though, I promise you will fit right in!"
"I sure hope so...."
Today is the first day of college for the blue hero. Him and his mom have been driving for a for hours, since the university Sonic will be attending is at least 3 cities over from his hometown. Sonic wasn't prepared to leave his family and friends behind, but he knew he had to move on. He laid back in his seat, hoping everything will be alright. He also hopes his roommate wont be any trouble either. Soon, they arrive to the huge building where Sonic will be living for the next few years. Sonic lowered the window looking at the nice looking building full of college students, new and old. They all ran like ants in an ant hill. Sonic already had a tour around the fancy looking college so he knew where everything is at and where his room is. All he needs to know, is his roommate.  Finally, the car comes to a stop. Sonic's mother looks back at her son and smiles.
"Well.....it's time to go...." Said his mom in a quiet tone.
"I'm going to miss you mom." Sonic smiled.
She looked at her son with a sad look on her face and shed a simple tear. "I'm going to miss you so much....." She said.
Sonic hugged his mother one last time. "No need to cry mom, i'll visit you guys again around Thanksgiving." Sonic said.
"Your right..." She sobbed. She wiped her tears away, even though they were still forming in her eyes.
Sonic let go. "Well see ya lates,  mom!" Sonic said.
"See you, son. Be safe." She said softly.
Sonic chuckled. "No worries. I will!"
Sonic the grabbed his 4 packages and got them out of the car at once. He then closed the door behind him. He looked back at his mom and smiled. His mom did the same and sighed. Sonic then started walking towards his new home, where he's going to start a new chapter in his life. His mom stared at him as he walked.
"They grow up so fast....."She said to herself. She then drove off, back to her hometown with the rest of the family.
As Sonic walked, he looked around with amazement in his eyes. 'This is one impressive University.' Sonic thought. He walked in the doors of the building only to walk in a good cold breeze that the inside gave. A few minutes later, Sonic finally arrived to his assigned room. He was a little nervous to go in, because he didn't know if his roommate had arrived or not. He then slowly opened the room of the doors and scanned the room. The first thing he noticed was a black and red hedgehog in one corner of the room, unpacking his things. He noticed Sonic come in, but didn't really cared and kept on unpacking. Sonic came in, and took his bags to the empty side of the room. In the room, it had 4 cabinets 2 for both roommates to put their things in. Sonic looked back at his roommate. He looked mean, like he didn't want anything to do with the world. That didn't matter to Sonic though. The first thing in his "University" list was to make at least one friend. He wanted to make small talk with him, but didn't know how to start off the conversation. He thought for a minute and finally thought of something.
He looked back at the ebony hedgehog, who was almost done packing and said "Hey there new roommate. How are you?"
The dark one didn't respond.
"Uh......I'll take that as a good. So, what's your name?" Sonic asked.
"....................Shadow" He responded.
"Shadow huh? That's a nice name! My name is Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog." Sonic said.
Shadow didn't respond again.
"It's nice to meet you too...." Sonic said softly.
Shadow then took out a roll of dug tape that he had in his shirt and looked back at Sonic. Sonic noticed and gulped. He stood up and walked towards Sonic.
"U-uh I  didn't mean to talk to you! I swear!" He said nervously. Shadow then took a piece out and taped it on the wall. He then spread the dug tape,  forming a line to separate both sides of the room.
"What are you-"
"Shut up. Stay in your side and i'll stay in mine. If you ever cross to my side, I'll kill you. Understood?" Shadow said.
"But were roommates..."
"Roommates shroommates. I don't give a fuck."
Sonic sighed. Honestly, he thought his new roommate was a dick, no doubt about it. He continued to unpack everything once more.

An hour later, Sonic was outside under a tree, reading some books since school doesn't start till tomorrow. As he was reading, Somebody sneaked up infront of him. Suddenly, he popped up infront of Sonic's face with no warning. Sonic jumped a little and gasped.
The person laughed at him and said "Sorry, I noticed you were alone here and I wanted to come and see what you were doing."
Sonic frowned. "You could of at least told me 'Hey there' instead of popping up infront of my face."
"My apologies, blue guy. I'm Silver. I'm a new student here at Mobius University, and you?" He said.
"I'm Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog." Sonic said.
"Nice to meet you Sonic!" Silver said holding out one hand.
Sonic accepted his hand and they shook.
"So Sonic, have you made any friends yet?" Silver asked.
"No, not at-" Sonic spotted his roommate, Shadow from a distance. He was with two other guys who were laughing. Shadow noticed Sonic starring and glared at him. Sonic quickly looked back at Silver. Silver looked back. "Who were you looking at?" Silver asked.
"Nothing...just my new roommate Shadow." Sonic said.
"Ah, Shadow the Hedgehog...."
"You know him?"
"Most definitely. He's my ex." Silver said.
"Your......ex?"
"Yup. We broke up a while ago, because I lost interest...."
Sonic backed up a little. Silver noticed and smiled.
"No worries, Sonic. I don't like you like that. You're not my type." Silver said.
Sonic chuckled. "What is your type?"
"I'm more into the bad boy type. You seem more like a nice guy." Silver grinned.
"Ah, now I feel like a girl...." Sonic said.
"My bad, I promise I'll be more 'boyish' around you." Silver said.
Sonic smirked. "Fine by me!"
Sonic then stood up and took his book with him.
"Where are you going, Sonic?" Silver asked.
"I'm going back in my room. I'm not in the mood to sit outside." Sonic said.
"Mind if I come with?" Silver said.
"Sure, no problem."
